Our group are having real difficulties at the minute with the look and feel for the current game we are working on. It is a rhythm action game where the user swipes the screen in time to the music as per the instructions on screen. We are about to have a serious group think in shortly and here’s a style tile I put together today based on earlier versions – hopefully it will help the discussion and move us forward….
This is a six week game assignment that our group of 3 have just started on. Right now we are floating ideas between the group via sketches, style tiles and game mechanics. The image above is my style tile contribution to the group conversation. This is the exciting stage of game design and I can’t wait to see where our concepts take us
Week 2 and our team of 4 have completed our first game in gamesalad. It’s super basic and has buckets of problems but WE GOT A GAME TO WORK. More or less anyway. This game isn’t going on a device but the next one will be. Have a look at the game video below. Note all the graphic revisions we squeezed in within the week – that was fun!
Week one and we’ve jumped head first into gamesalad to try and produce a group game in 2 weeks. Have we biten off more than we can chew? If so, then everyone else is in the same boat. As the graphics/imagery designer on the team, I produced the style tile above to try and tie all of our ideas together. Perhaps this could work after all…
